Our provider of UP Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Veronica Foods, is busy visiting their award winning partner estates in the Southern Hemisphere. On location in Chile, sound, early green fruit are picked at a ripeness index specified by the UP quality standard and then trucked quickly to be milled within an astounding 90 minutes after being harvested! It’s this kind of strict attention to detail and practice that forge the highest quality extra virgin olive oil.
An olive harvesting machine known as The New Holland Harvester. More nimble and better suited for steeper slopes and tighter maneuvering than the “Colossus” that works best on flat ground and large mega farms.
